The Eternal Day in Hereafter Compared to the Worldly Day

If the world day is calculated by the solar calendar movement, from sunset to sunset for instance; then “the Hereafter Day” is a day that has no limit and it is different from “the God’s day” according to the Almighty’s verse: “Verily a Day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning” (Al-Hajj chapter: 47), or even the “ascendance day” during which “The angels and the spirit ascend unto him in a Day the measure whereof is (as) fifty thousand years” (Al-Maarij chapter: 4).

The Hereafter Day or the judgment day is the day that has a beginning and has no end; it starts with gathering people when they are resurrected out of the grave after the trumpet has been blown; and it has no end: “it is an eternal dwelling”.

Is this the day, i.e. the Hereafter Day, is from the future? Meaning, it does not exist now and will exist in its time?

For the creatures, which are subject to the matter of time, the answer is yes. However for the almighty Allah Who is above time rules and its events (past, present and future). It is Whatever He wants and However He wants; He may have already Created that Hereafter Day , or He can create it now or later. Under Him and His justice everyone is the same; therefore, deciding or determining the matter is impossible according to the humans’ knowledge; as they have no idea about that and there is no evidence to prove it.

The Majesty of the “Master of the Judgment Day” determines to us that the beginning comes from the Almighty Allah, whereas the end is to Allah the Exalted. Thus, we shall never be arrogant and claim that we know something about Time or Space, Creation or Resurrection.
