Time According to Qutb Al-A’imma Sheikh Tfeyche
I thought about calling upon my honorable readers, while struggling to write, but I cannot do it due to the difficulty of the topic and the challenging circumstances. Summer is summer, and Qutb is Qutb, and time is time; a trilogy that is difficult to decipher. After a considerable period of time, long reading, contemplation, and deep dive into texts and documents … I was able -by the grace of the Almighty Allah- to write the first pages of the scientific work: “Time According to Qutb Al-A’imma Sheikh Tfeyche”. This page is a promising start that I share with my distinguished readers, based on a practical rule used by Al-Qutb, which is “science is enhanced by sharing”, and charity of knowledge lies in spreading it not monopolizing it.
Dear brother and sister, here are my thoughts presented for you, accept them from me as a gift from a loving heart:
“In order to write about Qutb Al-A’imma Sheikh M’Hamed son of Youcef Tfeyche, I had to go to the place where he used to live, not to get to know it, as it is the same environment I grew up and spent my childhood (Beni Isguen), until I entered the university and so I moved to the north of Algeria. However, to simulate the details I read about Al-Qutb’s daily life and routine; for instance, I sat next to the table to write in the summer, and strived to create suitable conditions for it; because Qutb Al-A’Imma used to write in the summer, in intense heat. Sitting for knowledge is not an easy matter, especially in the long hot siesta, which takes approximately a quarter of the day. Additionally, shortness of the night, which requires waking up at dawn, allowing only around three hours or a bit more for sleep. If one obliges himself to wake up early just like Al-Qutb used to do, he will face great difficulty, and will need great determination and patience…”.
Here the quote ends, and the question arises for each of us is:
How to invest my time during vacations in general and in the summer in particular?
How is my relationship with blessed times: dawn, Fajr, noon, between Maghrib and Isha prayer?
For me, I admit that I lost balance at the beginning of the summer, and it was not easy to regain my usual schedule, but I am striving with myself, overcome the circumstances, resist laziness, seek determination and purpose, and keep in mind the task at hand. Then, I harshly blame myself when I waste time that God has been fully aware of.
Allah is the Helper, the Trustee and the Guarantor …
“The best to protect and the best to help”.
