In differential calculus, inflection point or point of inflection is a point where the function changes concavity, i.e. from being concave up “positive curvature” to being concave down “negative curvature” or vice versa.
In the “Prophetic biography” “The Archers’ Hill” represents the hill, where the Prophet peace and blessing of Allah be upon him appointed about fifty archers to stay there during the battle of Uhud to protect the back of Muslim fighters against polytheists attacks; however, they disobeyed his orders and left their positions thinking that the battle was over, but polytheists exploited their movement from the hill and launched their attack and killed a huge number of Muslims.
In a book that I published under the title “Makhaniq Wa Mada’iq: Quest for Point of Inflection” there is an article entitled “The Archers’ Hill, the hard ascent”; I am certain that today, one represents “point of inflection” in “sine wave” for the civilization of his nation; he either represents positive curvature or negative curvature; depending on his knowledge, achievement, thought, deed, patience, resistance, diligence and persistence …
At the collective level, we are all standing on “The Archers’ Hill” because we are commanded to protect the back of our nation from ignorance, backwardness, submission, apostasy, mediocrity and from enemies of all shapes and colors; therefore, we either remain in “The Archers’ Hill” to make our nation win even if we lose the spoils of the war, or we leave the hill to collect the booty left behind, then our nation will suffer from defeat that comes from our side, polytheism will enter our mosques through our niche, weakness will affect our universities because of us.
If these perceptual images are true about our situation whether as individuals or as a community in all aspects of life; then they have further impact and more danger in the field of science and knowledge, thought and approach.
For this reason, this appeal took place, we ask Allah:
“Our Lord grant us useful knowledge, provide us benefit in what you have taught us and increase our knowledge”.
“Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate now after you have guided us, but grant us mercy from your own presence, and dispose our affair for us in the right way!”.
O the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy …
